Simple Works Best: Golf's Lessons for Associations

My golf game had faltered a bit. I kept trying to fix it but to no avail.

Thanks to my wife’s Christmas gift, I still had one more lesson from the golf pro.

I signed up with Jeremy.

Jeremy kept it simple and illustrated some powerful messages about association communications.

Here’s What He Did

We went to the driving range.

Jeremy watched as I hit golf balls for five or six minutes.

Then, he came around to the front, looked me in the eye and said, “I only have three things for you to do to change your game.”

Pretty simple. But, my game improved quickly and I started scoring better.

Simple Works

Think of the lessen for association executives and our communications with boards, leaders, members and staff.

3 Tips for Associations:

  1. Keep it Simple
  2. Be Clear, Concise and Compelling
  3. Make it Short, Sweet and Easy to Repeat
And, watch your results improve.
